    Funny, I was just looking at some carolina skiffs and was thinking they would be pretty handy with that wide open no carpet lay out.

    A couple of things- a few years ago the Carolina Skiffs were having some quality problems, I don't know what happened from there, but you might want to look in to it before dropping some bucks.

    The bare floor and wide open space is a common feature of saltwater boats. Blood, guts and scales just wash out through the scuppers in the back. Great for fishing. My point is that the bay boat may not be the ideal boat for crappie fishing. They are MUCH better for bay and near shore saltwater fishing than a crappie boat would be, but a crappie boat would probably be a better choice on the local lakes.

    Mike told me he had a new boat coming in for you but you weren't sure ifin you wanted it.....that's a nice lookin boat and you might get better tips guiding with it plus you only live once....... GO FOR IT!!!
