LCX 15 MT need software update 3.6 for unit

I am looking to help a friend and he has an old LCX 15 MT with an old softwrare version 2.9.Lowrance took all the updates for their older units off line.They now have update 3.7 but that won't work to update his unit. We need version 3.6 to update his older unit.It seems the older units you have to update in steps.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Call lowrance I was in the same boat a couple years ago. If I remember correctly I dealt with Jason. Just be careful as I think depending on the model number there are different updates. They sent me the wrong one the first time but I had the correct one two days later. Good luck.

Well we called lowrance several times today and got the wrong updates twice. I guess we will try tommorrow. The lady we talked to said use the 3.7 update which is on their site evidently she doesn't know you can't use the 3.7 to update some of the old LCX 15 MT. Some of the old LCX 15 MT you have to update it in steps.

Sounds like you are on top of it. Hopefully you get to talk to someone else tomorrow. The unit I have upgraded from 2.something to the latest update with one file.
