    Default Tough Day - Milford

Some days they jump in the boat.....others you work and work hard for them. But it was good to get out just to say I did and then home in time to watch the end of the race.

Dragging across the bottom crawling the jig slowlyyyyyyyyyy was the only thing I had any luck with and in 26fow. I actually thought it would be a great day for catching big fish with a big storm headed in but.....I was wrong. Just a very tough day.

Boat just covered in mud from the trip home, main lake was free of ice. I looked at west rolling hills early in the day but decided to launch from the ramp i cleared yesterday. Less ice today than yesterday there.

Ditto for me Dave! I got on the water about 1130 and had a pretty good bite going, sorting through the dinks and white bass and picking up a few nice keepers along the way until the wind switched and it clouded up... the bite just died! When my buddy texted at 2:00 that it was too cold and he wasn't going to make it, I called it a day! No mud on my boat but I have the nasty white road salt film all over it! Hoping Friday is better...

wow, I guess the mud is one reason not to hit the dirt roads with boat in tow.

Here's what it really is.....big snow and the wife says "will you".. make a fire, carry some wood, shovel the deck, clean her truck off, blade the drive way, and then its lets snuggle in front of the fire.....fishing in the cold and snow is easier
