The weather man said it was going to be nice today so Don and I traveled 1 ½ hours to Coffey County Lake where the water is 68 degrees all winter long. After checking in at the gate house, we put all the clothes we had on and launched the boat. Fished a colder point for a short time to allow the very cold boat to acclimate to the warmer waters, and caught a nice small mouth around 3ish pounds on a clacking rap. Things were too slow so we moved into the hot water shoot with some large mouth and smaller whites. Need to move out and find more fish… Headed North and found the fish on a main point in 5 foot of water. Casting and catching was fast and we also watched graph and would vertical fish when they would come under the boat. The day got warmer and the fish moved out deeper but the bite continued. We ended up with 139 fish and some sore hands. Great day!!

Went back on Sunday and stopped at 150... Same pattern.
