Black Friday Bite Was On!!!
Hit Milford for the afternoon crappie bite and ended up slammin some big wipers!!! Crappie bite was kinda slow, we caught about a dozen dinks 10.5" and smaller and 3 good keepers! Bored with the slow fishing we hit up the wipers that were busting the shad all over!!! My buddy from Oklahoma Donny and I caught 25 or 30 a piece until the wind died and sun went down!!!As we are loading the boat Donny says "My arm is hurting and my back is sore from catching all of those wipers!!!

Looks like a whole lot of fun! Sure beats dealing with all of the people!! lol!!
I have been thinking about heading out to Pomona tomorrow or Sunday and chasing the wipers around. How deep are you catching them at Milford and what tactic are you using right now?

I have never eaten a wiper, are they about the same as a white bass and do you need to cut out the blood line?

Yes to both questions, I filleted the 4 wipers and 3 crappie and gave them to my 87 yr old neighbor lady!

Yo Joe, Thatta boy!! Your right on the fishing, it's pretty good there, but those slimey boat ramps stink.
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat
