    Thumbs up Thanksgiving Fishing

Well family rolled in yesterday from Oklahoma and today we had all the stuff yourself fixings.......Turkey and ham both Apple smoked...and some fantastic pecan pie.

Well we began thinking about what to do next and of course fishing came up and away my dad & I went. Nice and warm today starting out with the wind being up. Ran up the lake trying to find a spot I heard about and to get out of the wind. Once we found the pile the wind shifted around and got stronger....whitecaps just rolling out on the lake. We just did controlled drifting trolls across and around the pile using Slab bandits on orange 3/32 jig heads in about 12fow. Blue/green bandits worked very well for us. Actually caught lots of fish with the longer we were there to the bigger they were getting. Water temp was 51F. We did not keep anything and after a couple of hours the wind and a big turkey dinner prior was wearing me out....so ran through the course chop back to ramp.....water splashing over the windshield getting me good and wet.

I noticed it seems like the larger fish are thicker in mass right now....they must be fattening up right now

    Very good times............

OK, now I know what u were referring to, what I want to know is how does an OU fan feel in Wildcat waters? Good job with showing Dad the local ropes. DK
