I hate to keep beating a dead horse on the zebra mussels topic. But, over the last couple years the guys at the gate at Coffey County have claimed that they are going to start requiring fisherman to drain livewells before they leave the lake. My problem with this is that they have said to me several times that they have no plans to put in a fish cleaning station. I'm not saying I can't clean fish without a station, but if they will not allow people to leave with fish in their livewell, it just seems that the logical thing to do is to put in some kind of fish cleaning station. My question, if someone were to take their boat home and drain it in their driveway after they clean their fish, what are the chances of zebra mussels going from the driveway into a river/lake system?
