Yes on the DI. I have found it very useful in IDing the type of structure I am looking at. I did end up going with the Hummingbird vs the Lowrance (sorry Chatt) because I like their sonar better and I felt their imaging was comparable. I can tell what type of fish I am looking at and the DI tells me the exact type of cover I am fishing and many times I can tell if the fish is in a active or negative mood. Like I said I have fished places for a while but did not know there was a twig sticking out of a rock that had 20 fish on it. I just knew there where fish there on the break. Now I can mark my spot exactly and fish it more efficently. I am a firm believer that you can find a hot spot but there is alway a spot with in the spot that produces more. I have an HDS 7 on the front of my boat and an HB HD 597 di on the back. With those two tools my fishing has improved. We fished Truman a few weeks ago our tools allowed up to find fish quicker, eliminate dead water and fish new areas no one else was and fill the boat with big fish.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D
