[Fish Taxi]

Nice fish. Caught on what? Fly rod? They will take about anythig. Love flyfish for trout on my way home from work in the winter. Never heard of willow lake either.

That was a while back, but I was probably using my ultralight spinning tackle and some type of trout dough bait on a very small hook with a very small split-shot. Probably 4# mono and a #6 or #8 salmon egg hook. That's my typical trout setup anyway. Sometimes I use small inline spinners too, depending on how aggressive they are biting.

Sounds like you guys in Topeka should be fishing at Lake Shawnee if you like trout. I think the last two or three state records have come from there.

Yeah, trout are expected to die of off every summer in most Ks lakes but, I am positive they survive the summer in Lake Shawnee as in the past there have been tagged fish caught with 2and 3 yr. old tags.
