Default Need help with split ring pliers

Recently got into the hair, fur & feathers obsession!
I have three pair of split ring pliers, a pair made by Worth(cheapie)
a pair of imported "precision" pliers and a pair in the middle.
I have an awful time(partly because of seventy year old eyes!) with
size o split rings. The Worth actually works the best. I noticed the lower
jaw is narrower and longer than the other two.
What do you fella's use and where can I get one!

    Thanks!

I like Worth for bigger ones. For smaller ones, #1, 0 and 00 I use a really fine tip needle nose pliers and a hook. I tried split ring pliers and wound up shooting them all over the house. I have a pair of jewelry pliers I use when I go that small for split rings.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

Unhappy Split Rings are Night Mares to me

I will go along with the 70 plus but the D##$%% things (Split Rings) were just as bad at 30 + ....... I tried severl kinds and the Cheap O worth has done the best all around but ... they will wear out quick ... I have gone to "Butt Rings" for attaching Spinner Blades to Swiveles and I think you could replace them in most other uses but I would want to solder the connection where you have a load.

I'm still using the old cheapie Worth split ring pliers, although I've filed the edges clean. So far no problem no matter what size I've been using.

I do like the looks of the Xurons though

They work great do all my split ring work while watching a movie seems to make it less tedious, also the price on these have come down allot they used to cost allot more. Best prices on them can be found in craft shops if you go to a tool shop you are looking at close to $20 or more for the same pliers
