    Hey fish,
What does "palmering the marabou" mean
    Thanks,mikeb

Here are a few more with different body styles I kind of like the top right one where I spun some dubbing onto the thread should have put more but it was a learning experience next time i will know and the bottom right one looks pretty good also almost like a shade dart.

Let me know what one's you like out of these for I am trying to narrow this down the body styles and start tying some to try out here and see what kind of results I get.

I like the top 3 on the left best. Especially like the tail on the top left.

Palmering marabou is the same technique as wrapping hackle. The marabou is wrapped around the shank instead of cut off and tied in.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

I think I am loosing my eye sight man they are tuff too work on, but I think I found something that may work pretty good. I will test it out more but i spun some dubbing on the thread and it made a pretty decent body sort of just didnt spin enough on. You know the old test and error well I sort of like the way it looked and you can run it right over the top of the kip. And being wrapped on the thread it is not coming off.

I think you are off to a great start the purple kip tail could be just a little bit shorter remember the reaso for such a small jig is to keep it tiny. and did you run the hair past the head before tying and then trim it? if so try and tie right next to head next time.
