    I now use Flex Lock but when needed I use Loon head cement when I need a solvent based on for all synthetics.

    I agree that simple is better. Marabou and chenille is hard to beat but tying small stuff can be hard with marabou until you are used to it. Calf and/or squirrel tail would be a good thing to have around when you want to tie in small tails and tie in wings.
    I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

    Words of advice: Get a vise! I half-ass tyed my first dozen or two with no vise and finally broke down an got a vise... Ohhhh, it was heaven compared to no vise!!!! And they turn out soooooo much better in my opinion!

    Be careful about starting things like this tat are addictive especially if cost is a problem. Not that a basic jig is costly to tie, but the dark side can get really high cost in the long run. Just saying this so you know it can happen.
