thats a great way to do it! I use a different approach though. I start at the tail material, and strip about 1/8 inch of fuzz from the chenille leaving only a tag of string. anchor the string to the hooks shank, then wrap the thread up to the jigs head. this comes in handy when you don't want a plump body, because you only have one layer of chenille.
