If you have an over abundance of pink heads try a whole bunch of combo's and see if you hit on any good ones.

Many times I will use two colors on a tail because IMHO it helps increase visability in the water. Here are some examples. Again it depends upon water clarity and what YOU have CONFIDENCE in.
Pink head - Blk chenille body - pink and chartreuse tail
Pink head - Chartreuse chenille body - pink and chartreuse tail
Pink head - black thread - black and chartreuse tail
Pink head - pink thread - pink and white tail

One of my all time favorite combos: pink head, black body, pink tail.

I have not ever been really big on pink, but a couple of springs back I was fishing a small bridge where some crappie hang on their way to and from shallow water. Anyway I was fishing one or two of other colors and doing OK, but tied on a Pink/Pink/Pink and really got after them then. So I am sold on that color at times. Here is a pic of one...

Electric Chicken and Pink/black/pink work great. I've always had a lot of luck on hot pink, especially in saltwater.
Pink heads for crappie are a fact of life here in Wisconsin.
Tied with a white tail (can be bucktail or marabou) it's called a "pinky" or "pinkie" jig.
Also have seen them with a yellow or chartreuse tail and can verify that those will slay too. If you don't want to tie, slide on a tiny white twister tail. Between that and the white bucktail I've filled many a fish-basket with crappies over the years.
Here's a pic of some old jigs I did with pink heads. Sorry about the pic quality.
