Jigheads
I have a (very) limited experience tying my own jigs, but have come to realize that it's kinda fun. I actually created a jig that caught some fish the other day. I don't have a digital camera, but the jig has a tail of two white saddle hackles, some silver Krystal Flash, and silver tinsel chenille body, on a 1/16 white walmart jighead. I wanted to make something that resembled a shad. I don't know if that's what the crappie thought it was, but it ended up their mouths!
The reason I posted: Where would be the best place to buy/order no-collar painted jig-heads? When using regular old collared jig-heads, you're kind of forced to have that huge body directly behind the head. I think Cabela's calls a collarless jig-head a "live bait" jig.
Would Cabela's be a good place to order? What would you all suggest?
Thanks.
"Mister, I love the way you wear that hat."
"You don't know nothin'."
