I dip about 10 jigs and place on my homemade racks. Turn on oven and when it reaches about 225-250, I place racks in oven. Temp is set to 350. Set timer to 15 mins. So yes, my jigs are cooled down before going in the toaster oven.

I do not put any additional heat on jigs after dipped in crinkle paint. They go in greyish silver

Right now I’m playing around the timer. Painting 1/16 this morning and may run a batch at about 10 mins to see effects.

No I get how you are doing it now, I meant my way. After you dipped in crinkle did you use the heat gun on jig while it was still warm or did you let cool? Was trying to figure out why my method didn’t work for you. Either way, looks like you got it.

Those are some sweet looking jigs. Trying new things and getting the results you want, awesome. I've been trying new ways of painting as well. When I paint jigs now after I get the head painted with multiple colors I heat head again for 2-3 seconds and take a bodkin and swirl and cut grooves into paint before it hardens. Getting some crazy combinations doing this.

I’m satisfied with the green chartreuse but not with the flame red. All done at the same time the same way.

Could be oven differences! Mine came out pretty well, not perfect but pretty well.
