Ok, I used info from Dr Nip video and info from JungleJim in this thread, but I wasn’t getting the looks that they were getting. So, I decided it’s time to either waste some jigs or figure out something.
1) heat the jig ( based on weight, different times)
2) dip in main color ( small ones were white, multi color was hot pink.
3) on multi color jig, I dipped top of jig in green chartreuse
4) dip once in Clear coat ( Dr Nip uses from video)
5) put back on heat for 5 count. I use a heat gun
6) dip in clear coat a 2nd time
7) dip in crinkle paint.
As suggested by Jim, I let my toaster oven cool down to around 150-200. Put my jigs on my homemade holder and placed them in the oven. Turned on heat element and when I reach’s 350, I set my timer for 15 mins.
So far, it’s working great. Only color I’m still having problems with is red! I’ll figure something out on that, hopefully.
I hope this helps you.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
CDC is great!
