Can someone help me get the right look on the crinkle paint jigs? This is the best I can get.

That looks pretty good to me. DrNip does awesome work. So does JungleJim. Check out his videos and see if they help.

I’ve watched Jim’s videos as well. Only problem is, from the ones I’ve watched, you don’t see him finishing them out. No disrespect to him, he’s obviously got it down and I’ve bought several jigs from. He does awesome work. I did send him a PM asking for help. I do t sell jigs, what I paint is for me and my buddies to fish with.

Thank you SD for the kind word, but they ain’t that good. I need helpI need help

I have yet to endeavor in actually using painting with the powder paint, However, there was someone having trouble with it and was told to put the oven ready jigs in a cold oven, then turn on to the temp and time needed...not to pre-heat oven then put the jigs in...

I’m having similar problems. When I have more time I’m going to experiment some more.

Looks like you dipped in chartreuse and finished with the crinkle. For those colors try crinkle first then the chartreuse or dip in chartreuse and brush tap the crinkle if you want more chartreuse to show. Chartreuse green is one of the colors that seems to absorb colors like white or yellow, candy color paints seem to work better. I bake my heads at 350 and start with a cold oven always. Bake for 15 minutes once temps reach 350. My painting skills are much better than my video skills for sure, didn't know how to put finished jig pics in after baking them.

There is nothing wrong with the way it looks. Looks like a pretty good job to me.

Looks fine but color has little difference in most cases to Crappie IMO.
