Last night I was feeling really weird……sat down and done this.








I like the idea but the colors don’t contradict. Maybe I should have gone with green eyes. Hmmmmmm…….

Hurricane coming. Looks like it is doing a hook movement. Coming at us at an angle. We have seen these types recently and there will be lots of power outages. It is being shown landing in Tampa and making its way to my home. Usually the winds have lessened by then but we have lots of trees. Erma made a huge mess of our trees.

What is happening now is our local electric companies are making deals with your electric companies to come to Florida. The caravans will preposition nearby where it is safe, and then swoop in to begin work. Co=ops are only allowed to hire other co-ops, cities- cities, and feds- feds. During Erma we had trouble getting them into the areas as evacuees were streaming back home.

Well our company bids on feeding one of the co-ops in the area. They like to choose us because the other caterers provide cold sandwiches and such, where we provide hot meals. Now the trick to getting the out of town helpers to actually commit, is in the perks. They really like helping out this particular co-op because they provide three hot delicious meals a day.

We fix scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, grits, bacon, etc for their 5:00 a.m. breakfast. Lunches and dinners are different from each other, each day. Some days we serve fried fish, another brisket, etc. So when this particular co-op sends out their requests, they get more help than what is needed. Cherry picking what is available because they feed the men. Who are very richly rewarded I understand.

Me, I have to get some gas cans filled. I use a generator to run the well, some fans, the TV, fridge, stuff like that. We will be taking cold showers. The trick is get in, get wet and turn it off. Lather up good. Then quick rinse and out. Ha Ha Ha it is kind of fun watching her think this is some kind of great plan when she starts squealing when that cold water hits her.

Well it looks like I will need to be feeding the power pole men for a period of time. All cooks will be expected to be there. The company makes big money. I hope the damage is light and we only have to feed them for a few days. I heard they eat like animals. I am not looking forward to this.


Today I have to help a friend move some of her things out from her old house. Her Ex will be away for a while so we can get in and do our thing. I hate confrontations and arguments over lamps and stuff. I remember one time I was helping ( everyone calls me ). The two stood there screaming at each other over the coffee pot I was holding in my hands. All I was doing was grabbing the coffee pot for my friend. Well the argument escalated incredibly until I made the decision to just smash the stupid thing on the floor. Afraid so. Argument over. Now no one gets the coffee pot. They realized that they should probably resist the temptation to fight over the things they really liked. LOL

I have had pickup trucks for most of my life, as did my father and both brothers. So we get asked all the time. Folks with cars get asked to box stuff and eat pizza and stuff. If you have a friend with a truck, and you decide to move, and you ask this friend to help, do the planet a favor and have everything boxed and ready to go. Nothing worse than having to box and transport. Also, don’t buy one stupid little Dominoes pizza with plain cheese and pretend that that is the way you prefer your pizza. Splurge a little. Get a three topping pizza.

Hurricanes are kind of like camping adventures. We get to eat stuff discovered in the freezer, sleep with the windows open, and sweat a lot. Well at least it isn’t August right now.
