twisting chenille together

I need to figure out how to twist together 3 different colors and get a good mixture of all three to show up when i tie the body of these jigs. The bottom one did pretty well but the top one didn't and I don't know why. Anyone have suggestions on how to make for a more uniform mixture of the 3 colors? Even with the bottom one I don't get as good a color variation as I would like.

1/2 ounce on a 4/0 VMC barbarian (bottom) and 1/2 ounce Mustad 32833 5/0 (top)

I learned to braid hair for my young daughter so I applied this to chenille. It takes a little getting used to applying it to the jig but kinda comes out better. I think I was trying to reinvent the apple as apposed to finding the perfect walleye jig. Yours look good young man.

So braid them onto the hook or braid them then wrap them? I'm guessing braid onto the hook but have to make sure. I have a crocheted technique I have done in the past but that is just 2 colors.

I can definitely see where if I can do it correct the colors would be very even on the hook.

I braided them and then wrapped the jig with the braid. I've always used the collar to hold scent like slab juice. The braid will hold a lot of scent oil.

Not so keen on how to braid, but I have clamped two and three chenille's together with some forceps and twisted them together to see how they come out. one thing to remember when doing this, is your finished chenille will be larger in diameter for sure, and can affect your hook gap, fish hook-up ability. So, watch how far back you're wrapping it.
