Fishing has been bad for me lately due to a couple of factors. It's post-spawn and there's plenty for the fish to eat in the form of small minnows/ fry.

Okay, just one factor then.

Fry.

I've been resisting the temptation to tie on some small plastics in the one to two inch size due to being hard-headed.

So, I've returned to trying to tie a minnow jig.

Tube jig heads in 1/8 and 1/16 to make the body more uniform. Green flash and mullet EP fiber with fish hair over.

i like it...try a 1/64 w/ #8 hook same design.

1/64th? That's getting into fly tying territory.

Actually that's not bad.
My goal is to get my jig tying to that level one day. Really slow and detailed just for my enjoyment. That's why you see me trying different materials, mixing and matching this and that a lot.

Tied a lot of those tube jigs in my day. You will love its balance in the water fish will too. I put eyes or spots or both on mine. Keep them coming Rezz

That's the first one I've cut that way. Have been practicing a bit but the result are rough.

Just need to get my focus down to that level of trimming like you!
