    Thanks a lot for that Grumpy.

    I started to use bead chain eye but went with the silver bead.
    Will work on some eyes...........

    I've really been wanting to try light lining for crappie with light but not necessarily small jigs. It would be like fly fishing with mostly flipping out the line more that casting. Catching a big crappie like that would be about the ultimate. Just floating the jig at depth mostly while laying that jig exactly where it needs to be.

    Rezz I used to long line with a tiny splitshot on a #1 hook with a few chicken feathers tied on. I mean tied on and not like what we think of tying today. Instead of a trolling motor it was oar powered. LOL There is no wrong way to tackle this hobby. Just inventive.

    True enough.

    I've skulled a boat quite a bit in the past and truly enjoy catching bluegills with a cane pole and popping bug.

    Maybe I'm trying to get back to that these days, in more inventive ways of course!
