The cake maker had made this magnificent display only to have it come crashing down. I understand that the bride was inconsolable and weeped while hiding herself in an office. I always wondered what happens if the cake goes South on them before they can get at it. The good news is it wasn’t I who dislodged the stupid thing. How horrible. The florist just kind of nudged the table a little and KABOOM….there it went.

After I was certain that no one was coming to view any longer, broke out a small fork and sampled it. It was to die for.
