And that is an idea that I could use. But I'm already about to change the plier jaw, so the heads of the screw convex surface is at the same location as the jaw is when the screw isn't causing contact. Remove the screws and the jaws close face to face evenly. So, removing the face of the jaws to compensate for the dimension of the added screw head should get me a proper alignment when I'm pressing the head flat. The one thing I've improved on is the perfect circle of the profile. Before, sometimes, the head wasn't round, viewed from the side.
