I do know the Danvise was updated a good many years back, b ut the original was just too bulky and not enough room around the jaw. I do think many of their issues are a lot better now, but I also know the plastic remains. I used a Danvise for a year, then sold it and got the Renzetti, then a year later I bought the Nor-vise and have not looked back. Have been at this something close to 14 years now. Long enough ago that my Nor-vise was a lot less than they are today, lol!

Oh and there are a lot of reason I like my Nor-vise so much, but will just leave that alone for now.
