Tied a Few For a Friend

He really loves this jig and for the first time in a lot of years he actually got the 12 hot ones, but that was because his son got some from me in spring when we had all that water and the lake was really stained bad. So his dad finally tried one of these that I had suggested to his son and caught some crappie so this time he actually wanted a few, lol! He just will not even try anything other than these Blue and White jigs. I am sending him a sample using the Blue Crystal just to see if I can get him to do something new.

I agree with him. In our stained waters here on the coast of NC. they are the bomb. I really like the crystal blue. Did you paint the heads on the blue and white ones. I think that the orange ones would be great in stained water also.

Yes I painted these heads with Chrome Powder Paint. I do also keep some heads that are Nickel Plated, just don't use them normally, but kind of will if I want some jigs to use and don't feel like getting all that painting stuff out, lol!

Been using this color like it is here for over 10 years and actually the guy I tied them for has used nothing else for all that time too, lol! Finally we got him to try the Hot Orange ones last spring after we had all the flooding. Silver/BlueWhite is one of my top 3 or 4 color combos.

Only jig I tie with a White head is the Popeye jig that I like a lot with the Black and Yellow tail also is also a thread neck with Red thread and a big Black eye.
