Bumble bee challenge

A guy called me the other day and asked if I could tie him something that looked like a Bumble bee.

Well I took a shot at it. Think I put the wings on the wrong side.

Looks great, but a fly would probably be a better bumble bee. It should work well anyway.

that's a good looking jig! good job. I have seen bumble bee jigs in a wide range of sizes too, one of them was put out by zebco many many years ago and was probably 1/80 oz. and my old timer buddy says it was a crappie killer. also I saw some Mississippi style chenille and kiptail bumble bee jigs made by rosies jigs in La. or miss. and it is the favorite pattern she ties, anyway the wing is on the same side as yours.

Technically yes but it doesn't really matter they'll flap in the water either way.

Although it's not a "technical" bumble bee with wings and such this is the bumble bee color that I know and love and usually have tied on most days

this way is not twisting the 2 chenille colors together, but wrapping each separate and at the same time also!

The first one works for me, but they're all nice Skip.

The wings are only on the wrong side if the fish don't touch it. That's a good looking tie that took a bit of doing, I'm sure.
