    Default 3D eye question?

Need some helpful hints on the best way to make 3D eyes stay on jig heads? Any info will be appreciated!

Made a video about placing the 3D eyes and maybe it will help you.

I use brush on super glue on the bottom of the eye or sometimes I will use some UV glue over the outside edge. It cures with a UV Light or the sun.

have not watched the video but, in a little while.

Only thing I use is Duco Cement - it works great and doesn't discolor any cured heads and hasn't melted any eyes.

I've used it on doll eyes on my jigs and I haven't lost one yet

Hey Fatman I have not tried that glue so do you use it just under the eye or over the top too? Also how long to dry?

    Thanks,

I use a piece of aluminum foil and put a dot of glue on it and use a tooth pick to put it on the jig head, then I put the eye on it and position it. I always do one side of all the jigs I'm doing first, let sit for 5 minutes then flip and do the other side.

For the Doll eyes I use a little more due to the plastic base. Don't put any over the top of either type eye.

They're usually dry in 20 minutes but I let em sit overnight before bagging them or tying them up.

Got to say the best thing about the UV glue is it sets with just a few seconds under the light and it never will set until you get it like you want and put the light on it. Also can just place around the eye and they even make some eyes now just for Clear Cure Glue. Also the stuff is clear adn you can get it in non tacky form or in tacky from and think of thine formula. However the down side is cost of it and a good light which is not the lower cost ones, LOL! However you can get it set good with any of the UV lights and let the sun make it hard as it can be.
