I have done so many they just come out close usually, but I alwayse make sure half way through my wraps. I hold it a little to my side to start, then I start wraps at the head and stop at my stopping point, this is where I make it right. However every once in a while at that point when I first see how it's doing it may be too much out of line for me and if it is i will take warps off and start over! At that stopping point you can grab the stem and thread with some forceps and turn it a little either direction. The pinch the heck out of the wraps and stem so when you start back to the head it stays put.

i know that if I didn't care I could tie a lot more jigs per hour, but I will not tolerate my jig looking like what some would if I just went for speed. Each is special in my eyes and even though I always see warts on jigs I tie, it's just because I tied it and no one else will usually notice anything. I suppose that I am a bit on the perfectionist side of doing things like this, LOL!
