    I use 6, 4's and 2's. Here's a 1/32nd with a #2 hook and they work fine.

For the new plastics I've been using I'm using #4's. I carry all 3 sizes when I go out.

I prefer large hooks....have better hook ups with them and less missed fish. I like jigs with 1/0 sickle hooks
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I specifically bought a lead mold so i could pour my own 1/32 with #2 hooks. As far as sinking slow, thats perfect for shooting docks. Slower the better for me

I troll a 1/4 head with a 3/0 hook all the time. Use it as my bottom bait. Then again I'm fishing Lake Washington as I live on it. I get good results overall.
