Do you use any other thread other than 210 denier to tie threadnecks? I am using 210 denier but cannot get it to whip finish right. Any help would be much appreciated.

Not wanting to cinch down do not have that problem with cheineal cinching down just the thread neck. I might be doing something wrong but I am not sure lol!!!
Has me puzzled, I am sure one of the smarter members will be along to provide more insight!
I tie (2), 1/2 hitches, clip it up close and seal it with sally hansons hard as nail clear polish.
I whip finish mine with 5 wraps always unless using smaller thread and then maybe 4, but I know I can chinch it down just enough because if it breaks it will not hold at all as the knot doesn't take like it will when using chenille. When tying chenille it if breaks when tightening it for some reason it still hold good. Just be careful how hard you cinch it down and never let it break. I also always use a flex glue to completely cover a thread neck thread unlike when I am tying chenille I use thinned glue I make and it never leaves a hard spot where I place it!
I like using 280. Just my!
