    Default Minnow/Shad variations...?

New to tying and played last night with some minnow/shad variations. Looking for some more ideas to make a cool minnow/shad bait. Thanks

The heads that look like just a lead head are actually bainted with bait fish powder paint. It just makes them look gray and has glitter. Also I have a touch I mixed it with my pink to add some glitter but its hard to tell.

If your looking for materials that will make good shad/baitfish imitations I will get back after looking through my stuff. I have several things I bought just for this and have not tied or shown yet, but I will. Give me til tomorrow at least.

i do sell a lot of jigs with unpainted heads and Gray body and tail with a touch of Black in the tail. Most of the time I do not put a feather tip in the tail on this jig. If you look at the sticky post at the top of this page there is info on my little V's and that is all I use on this one.

Like this and sometimes they want a round head and sometimes a minnow head.

Thanks Skip I will give them a look.

Micro I started last spring and youtube has been a big help. Also all the great jigs I see on this forum really help a guy get off to a good start. If I had really close up shots I'm sure there are plenty of little improvments to work on.

But that'll just be for looks. If they hold up to the fish they're destined to catch, it don't matter about defects in appearance. From the picture, they look great. That's with me staring them over. Fish feed on predatory instinct, not whether the steak is garnished for a good advertisement.
    Good work

He's right and we all see our on warts on our jigs because we tied them, LOL! As long as you have them tied well so they don't come apart they will be fine!
i will also PM some more info for you to help learning.
