Soft plastics have their place and sometimes will do great, but also lots of time a feather will out fish most anything IMHO! The deal really starts when you catch fish on a jig you tied and that is special and only gets worse as far as the addiction! The more you tie the more materials you want to work with and the more and more you buy. Soon you have more jigs than you could ever use and still tying, LOL!

also I don't think anything will out fish a good small 1/32 oz marabou jig in spring and probably fall as well! I use Roadrunners at these times and just marabou tails,
