Started painting some baits for a bass fishing buddy and for myself !!! Thanks Skip these cranks take time.should see the ones we started out with not much to look at.We are blessed to live in an area with great fishermen and fishing lure makers. My Mother would pull my ears in church when I set by Mr Ce Presely(crappie legend in our town) in church. He would carve wooden lures out of cedar.Mr Presely is were I got started making lures.Rebel lures had quit making the (Chugger Rebel!!! Top water) so he (MR Presely) taught me how to carve a Chugger out of cedar seal the cedar and paint. It was worth the ear pulling in church!!! Still dabble a little!!!!

Oh I remember the Chugger and use to fish them years ago. I love top water fishing, heck I like most every kind of fishing, LOL! I even bought a couple of special Rebal Pop-R's that Zell Rowland tweaked where he sands them down to make the sides thinner and then re-paints them. They put out a numbered autographed set of these and I bought 2 just to kind of collect them. Have never fished with one, but he is legendary with top water bass fishing and I see now they have a YouTube video about how he tweaks them. Also see a nice article about him and VanDam about top water fishing.
