Skip it is a nice looking jig I would change the body color to a brown or something shiny with Brown in it I would change the head color to ruby red slipper.

I have a good many Pheasant Rump Patch's and just want to see what I could do with these as a tail so here is one, but I didn't probably get the best color chenille and maybe should have used some Cinnamon in place of the one I picked this time. So what do you think of the tail without considering the rest of this jig? Oh and it's suppose to be Claret in color.

That is why I said just look at the tail and I would probably prefer using the Cinnamon color chenille. Don't care a lot for Ruby Slipper though Bob and would stick with silver probably.
Thanks,
Skip
I really like the tail! I have pheasant thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks and your welcome Redge! I did it just like I do neck hackle, I cut it into little V's and put the V's on top the tip and tied it all in. I believe the fluff past where I cut this off I am thinking some kind of really short jig or a fly tail.
You have done it again another great Crappie jig!!!! "WOW"!!!!

I'm with bob hit the head w ruby red slipper and like you said throw a cinnamon color chenille on there... Tail looks really cool!
Thanks guys, I am so glad to finally have tied a tail on a jig using these Pheasant Rump feathers that I have a good bit of. I would like the Ruby Slipper too but I am also kind of attracted to the Candy Red as well as the Raspberry Candy colors.
I am glad to see you guys like the tail as much as I do!
