If those are the premade tail just split a bit and mount it like a real mayfly tail and finish tying. some fly patterns have to be modified a bit to work on jigs and this is one of them. If you can find the really really small micro chenille you could twist it and then mount it on - the only problem with that is when you've spun it before you fold it back over itself to twist you have to use a needle to put the tail hairs in first. Splitting is alot easier!!!
