Well that darn lightening strike also took my network cards on both my PC and my Mac. So this morning I know a guy near me that works on computers and he had a network card I could buy so picked it up and came home and installed it in the PC so now at least have it. However I have to get the new router in before I can use my Mac wireless as don't want to send it back yet to replace my network cards in it. So still can get email other than my iPhone because I have to keep that coming to the Mac and don't want it on the PC so I can keep all my email files on one computer.
Hate lightening more than ever!
Skip that really sucks!!!!!!
Oh also forgot to mention that my sound system for my TV lost the HDMI plugs so don't know what to do about that or if I can get Sony to fix that or not.
Really sucks!
Sounds like you needed a truck load of ground faults and surge protectors.
Everything that went out other than the AC Circuit boards was hooked up to a surge protector and not a cheap kind. Still didn't help the things it got.
skip I went and bought a surge protector here it cost me $129 I think it's well worth the money to protect my computer and all of the printers on other stuff that are hooked up if you would like I would send you the name of this one it is a heavy duty it is backed up by a battery so will ensure power goes off it keeps it hot and it works quite effective is I shut it down and it kept everything okay until I set up at the new location it just had to recharge itself but the phone company where I come from switched over to the surge protectors for each computer though it is quite expensive it is well worth the money the front of it so you will have the model in name in case you're interested.

Hate to tell you this Bob, but I have one from the same company that cost something like $175 and it didn't work! As I now understand it you have to buy a better one that actually connects to your main power box on the house. I have a guy I am talking to about this and he will be back in Texas soon.
Oh crud, now the Washing Machine that is less than 6 months old is having issues and is one of the high end ones that doesn't use much water. We got it because we are on a Septic system and of course the old kind of machines use a huge amount of water and this one uses like less than 13 gallons. The old kind of top load machines use maybe 50 gallons a load?? I think they now have top load machines that also are better on water.
that is not good news skip let me know what you find out or post it if this guy has something better that you mentioned.
As far as fancy wurst machines go I had one and did not like it I spent over $2000 and stored it down in the shop input the old top loaders back in the mice got into the fancy one and I had put a $400 panel and the worst machine I had to put a new pump and in I put them in the garage sale to try to get half my money back out no one would go for it so I dropped the price curve down to $700 boy did I get shafted on this thing I don't like four or five drops of water in my work machine I would like to see my clothes covered up but the newer machines are very costly and this is only if you like that. I guess you might say that I'm old fashion.
