You tied a good looking jig. Like the others have said don't cut the tail after it is tied and leave the end tips to give it a good flow in the water. I'm seeing more jigs tied with a thread collar while using chenille and that is the tyer's choice of how to finish his jig. If you like tying them that way that's great Lots of folk are catching many fish using em.
