Default Blue Gill, Shell Cracker, Thread Fin and Blue Back

I did these this morning while it was quiet around the house...garden work next, grass needs cutting....but I still love sitting down at the vise and just let my mind relax...know what I mean? Its almost like I'm at peace....now hold on..I am at peace....because I'm no longer at war...because of this verse..Romans 5 vs 1...spent many years at war with everyone and everything...not any more....hope you are the same!Name: new flies 2012 004.jpg

Don't you love it when you don't have to walk through the valley alone.

Nice tying on the jigs, look great.

    Nice ties!

I feel the same way about tying jigs...especially considering that I usually lose about 10 jigs per year...and I'm tying about my 100th jig. It's just fun and peaceful; like playing guitar or playing pool.

Lb Nice ties and good way to live very colorful and like your use of mallard flank. Think that you will do well with those jigs. The bottom one is one I might copy as I feel the simple is always the best and is very basic. Will work well here at my home lake for crappies in the fall.

I'm to a place now where everything I tie is my interpation of one of ya'lls....these are how I tie the floating fly jigs for bass, just smaller...float-n-fly fishing is a hair jig under a cork, and that's how the crappie fisheman figured out...why BIG small mouths were eating their jigs. Craft hair with mallard flank...crystal flash....so now I'm painting my Bandit's 300's to try my luck at trolling them...soon!
