I paint and tie a good many of these and man it's more then the split rings that will make you a bit crazy, like the foil over that darn tiny swivel. There are just so many more steps to a Roadrunner/Pony head than a regular jig that there is just not a fast way. However I like fishing them so much in the spring I have to make a lot for just my self and all I really like is the 1/32 Oz.

I can't tell you how many different split ring pliers I have tried, but it's a lot of them. I even bought a pretty costly one for just being split ring pliers and they really get under my skin because these have no little tooth pointing down to split the ring and just have pointed jaws that you are suppose to grab and some way make the ring split, but too many shoot across the room for my taste, LOL! I pains $356 for these darn things just because I wanted a better easier way, but soon I was back to the ones I use all the time. I even order a pair just like this one I like or so I thought they were, but they were larger. I bought them from Barlow's and they still use the same picture I bought the first ones from, but now they are fatter jaws and too big for what size I use. I even though about trying another pair when I sent the last ones back which is the only one I ever sent back so I have more than I can use and all of them get under my skin other than the one I use.

I'm not sure what you traded, but it appears you got the better of the deal. Nice Job!
