not sure if anyone has tryed this before with jig tying, but try using glass beads for body material instead of just feathers or chenille ect.i found out that i can slip glass beads over jigheads with sickle hooks even without smashing the barb.i have to hand pick the beads tho because they won't go on if they are too long or if the hole in the bead is too smallpic might be a lil blurry because i took it with my phone but you can still see the how the light shines right through the beads.one issue is you have less area to work with for tail material but it can be done ok

Interesting use of beads and jig. Looks like it will work.
Why not slide the hackle through the beads leaving the beads at the last bend. Tie in the hackle at the head then slide the beads over the tied down hackle to the head. Glue the beads in place with a little super glue.
You can get a bead file at wally world.

There are lots of fly patterns using beads like that. They make some beads that will fit over the hook point and can even get them in not only Glass like you have here, but also metal or plastic. Lots of colors in beads for sure.
I saw somewhere a guy tying up what he called ice fleas on a 1/80th oz head. He used 3 beads for the body.
And the fly guys use 'em to add weight as much as anything else.

i've made some flies with beads too.lately i've been making lot of inline spinner lures and using glass beads for bodies on them.i've never seen beads used on jigs before, but why not? something new to play with lol.i think the beads might have the kind of color effects of soft plastic baits,or even reflect more light.yellow beads are gonna be sweet on jigs!
