    Default Newer stuff

I've been threatening to post some of what I've been working on lately, and I finally have the time to do it. The first is my most popular, the second is my first clouser minnow attempt, and the third is a couple of the 3/4oz bucktails that I'm tying for an order. I would like opinion on whether or not I'm using too little hair on the bucktails or do they need a little more. I don't think the fish will care. And they are the first use of the vinyl paint, and the last. Powder is so much better and easier. I got excited when tying the clouser, and was pleased with the way it was turning out and forgot to put some flash in it. I'll do better next time. The black/gray is a 1/16 and I use and sell lots of em. Thanx for lookin.

Skeet, they look good and you did a very good job with the minnows (looks great)Thumbs Up. On my bucktails I like to use as much hair as I can since most of the time I'm using bucktails in deeper water. I put down a lite layer of thread first, some clear nail polish then the hair, thread and more clear over the thread. The first clear polish will help hold the inter hair.
The white/red/white is a great color.

I can't take credit for the top clouser, and I apologize if y'all thought it was my work. When i decided to tie one I bought one at a shop, that one is an Umpqua and cost me almost $5. It was the model for the lower one that I did tie. We had a busy day here today and obviously my mind wasn't on what I was doing or I would have included this. Looking at the pics I can tell I have a tendency to overdo the wraps and get the looks out of whack some. I need to have a little more confidence in the holding ability of a few wraps instead of a dozen. Thanks for the good words.
