CP there is a reason that I carry seven boxes of jigs with me. Some I don't even like but on some days the crappies just love them. They are eating machines and will take the oddest colors every once in a while so got to be prepared. That being said I do have my goto patterns.

I'm gonna experiment with this colorwheel theory a little. During the summer months, I pull crankbaits for crappie and recently I've been painting crankbaits with an airbrush. You can only tie so many jigs and I'm going crazy sitting in this house. LOL Anyway, I painted some cranks using the opposite colors on the color wheel to see if it works.

Nice paint job. Bet those LSU fans would buy every one of those purple and gold and give you a good price too. They will by anything thats purple and gold. Let us know how it works for you.

Thanks Redman, I've been painting a bunch in the flourescent crappie colors, orange, chartreuse, pink, and red, but I figured I'd try out the color wheel theory. Along with LSU, I bet the Florida fans would like the blue/orange. LOL

Scott the only colors I have ever seen them wear are silver and black, and Black and White. But they may be fooling us by the colors they wear. This year for me they have been fans of the University of Kentucky for they like the Blue with the white tails.
