Len, great jigs that will take their share. Under a bobber will get both gills and crappie. I find a slow fall gets more hits, but hurrying a 1/80 to do anything is crazy. I tied some 1/80 with hackle V's and mini chenille and they came out great. Gave them away so I can't post the pics but will tie more in a while and post em. Skip, those look real good to me.

Good looking jigs Len. Will be looking for your fishing report. Nice work with small hooks.

    Default Had to try

Tied these this morning, they really go fast. Even put a red butt in there. All tied from the un used bottoms of the hackle feathers I had put aside. 1/16th head for comparison, I think these are 1/64 or 1/80. Sorry for the fuzzy pic, in a hurry and no time to re-shoot.

Those will definitely work. I caught over 80 gills this weekend on a solid black version of that jig, tipped with a waxworm.

Well Bob I have to use some of this high end hackle I have and since the palmered hackle little jigs are for me, I can use that high cost stuff if it makes me happy. I do think the blue gills will love that little jig and maybe even better when I use some of that Cree hackle.
