Well this year I pretty much started out as usual, using this one and my Chart/Blue/Chart (which has been really hot for the last 3-4 years for me). Then one day the bite slowed some at one of my spots and I only fished 4 or 5 spots this spring and noticed the water was a bit more clear and I could see my jig a little deeper. So I went to my trusty Silver/Blue/White which has been deadly for several years once the lake goes from seeing a jig down 2' to down 3'. I had just got the chenille you see in my Sig and coming back from town one day it hit me I should try that. I tied a Nichol Plated RR head and that body with a light blue tail and boy it was on. Basically the same as my Sig, just was a RR and marabou tail.

One thing for sure though you started this thread and I found it cool that we had both had that color combo for a number of years as one of our favorites..

That "Mississippi Jig" is a classic and it's reputation as a fish getter is unquestionable.Glad to see you highlight it,hunter7711. THANKS!!

Still can't believe you guys have not already locked on to this color. I have posted about it and posted pictures over the years a bunch of times and some not that long ago. Is no one reading?

Point in case here is a post from June...

Also remember a time I said pretty much the same thing about a year ago and Fatman I know will remember him saying guys you should take notice since I had been fishing this since the 1970's.

beginning to think it's useless to post colors you know work well a lot of places as everyone want to make something no one has made I guess. I give up on this sort of thing.
