Thanks everyone...& nice jigs yourself there ScottV!
I have only had limited time on the water with these, but they have some action is what i will say. The 1st pic was the original - lost it on a big fish on 1st day trying it, guessing a catfish - so i started making some replacemets. This style will make an outstanding bluegill mimic, when you stop it mid-retrieve, the back zonker flairs out like a blue gill.Just need to make the right color combo.....
MuskyGary - the first 4 jigs are all 1/8th and the last one is 1/32. I think each one has a different size hook... lol. Thanks.
revtoby - Yes, all hair material used is rabbit zonker except for the last jig that has pine squirrel (sp?) zonker on the back. I actually use a pretty thick thread base to start of poly yarn. Leave a long strip for the tail and tie in a strip for the back, just have to make sure the hair will flow the right way when you pull it to the front. Wrap your chenille and lay the zonker over to the head and lock it down. Thanks.
ScottV - Nice jigs. There is a tutorial in the works sometime soon. Probably be on JC.
Thanks again for all the comments everyone, they are definetly fun to tie! - AF
