Yea, I know, and I have done well at times on some miserable flies that I cobbled together on a whim. Still on average flies or jigs are more successful when they follow a discernible pattern. Some patterns are mostly localized to given lakes or streams and some work most everywhere you fish them. I am just trying to get a handle on how the fluorescents add to crappie jigs and what is the best place to use them.

The last few days the winds have whipped the local lakes to something that resembles a rich frothy chocolate milk. I have been fishing yellow/chart. curly tails but think I could do better with marabou and crystal flash jigs that will have a bit more action when just slightly twitched under a bobber. I am fishing the debris around a couple of beaver lodges.
