    Welcome! I am fairly new here, too. Where in Kansas do you live? Where do you fish? I live in Lawrence and fish (when I have free time) at Clinton and some of the other lakes (LaCygne, Coffey, etc).

    I am from Wichita and fish mostly at Cheney Lake.

    Hey Mort, I was stationed in Wichita at McConnell AFB from 1963-1967. Cheney has some nice crappie and huge catfish. Good fishing there.:D

    Yep! I have caught some very nice walleye and wiper as well as a bunch of crappie. I am still working on consistency at the lake. Some days you just buy a fish other than the little white perch that have infested the lake.

    Lotta good looking jigs around here! I will probably post some pictures in the next couple of weeks. I plan on starting with some traditional chenille and marabou crappie jigs and add some woollybugger patterns tied on jig hooks. I hope the macro function on my digi camera gets close enough to get good pix of the results!
