Yes that is the first thing you learn, that it's not easy to get good and fast, LOL! However you will be surprised at how fast you get to making them look good enough to make you proud and once you catch a fins on one you tied it's over. Your the one hooked and there will be more and more materials you see that you want to use. It's just the hobby's way of one day you look around an say oh my goodness what have I started and about then your wife will be looking shaking her head saying something like, what next?

Main thing is enjoy your self and don't plan on this being a cheap hobby. Of course some of us have it a lot worse than others. I may have one of the worst cases of this, LOL! Heck I buy materials that I think look good and figure I will find a good way to use it, but then I may have it 6 months or more before I tie the first thing with it, LOL!
