I should probably go get a "jig" camera myself! Tired of posting all the below grade pics... my jigs need all the help they can get from a good pic! However maybe the fuzzy pics hide all the imperfections!
Glad to be able to help and with the macro setting you can get your camera really close, like less than one foot and then you have lots of size to crop and cut down the size and still have a nice close picture.
Congrats,

One good thing is the digital cameras have become so common that you can find adequate cameras at almost any price level. I remember my first one cost be near 400.
The next door neighbor paid 1200 for the exact same camera a few years to my purchase.
75-150 dollars should give you a lot of leeway for finding a good one. Since I have always had good luck with Sony cameras over the years .I have always stuck with them.
Make sure whatever type you buy it has a "Macro setting ". This enhances closeups which is needed for picturing jigs and such.

You will find it can do things that you have not even know about yet. Still a lot I don't know about this camera and have had mine for a while now. Lots of little tricks that make pictures and colors come out better on some setting and other colors come out better on a different one. If I want purple to come out looking like purple and not dark blue then I have to shoot using Manual Exposure setting and usually don't use that much at all.
